Giver of the Torah
By : Eric Turner
I have in the last year been revealed a game changing revelation that I would like to share and be tested. If this revelation is correct, and I will present so much evidence it is very hard to deny, it would completely change the view all of Judaism as well as Christianity in what we understand concerning the relationship between the Father and the Son, or for Jews, YHVH and Yeshua. Most modern Religious systems teach that the God of the Tanak(Old Testament) is the Father, and the God of the Brit Chadasha(New Testament) is Yeshua. What if this is wrong? What if there was something we missed? What if there was something that had not yet been revealed that would totally change the way we understand this concept? Would it bring unity to the Body of Israel, between Jew and Non-Jew? I believe it surely would, and it will delete any conflicts or seeming contradictions between the Tanak(Old Testament) and the Brit Chadasha(New Testament).
While on my journey to discover Truth I have been through many stepping stones. I never understood how Yeshua/Jesus could have redeemed Israel who was divorced from covenant. This has been a stumbling block especially for the Jewish People(House of Judah) and it has also been a stumbling block for the House of Israel(Christians). For information on the differences and separation of these Two Houses of Judah and Israel please see the teachings “The Lost Sheep” and “Identity Crises” . Most Christians believe that the Father gave Moses a very strict and burdensome law that is completely unobservable and ends in bondage, while the Jewish People believe that the Father gave Moses a set of Instructions/Torah that brings blessings if kept and curses if broken. What if both of these Titans of religious systems are wrong? Would it make a difference in our relationship and our doctrinal differences with the Creator? I believe the answer to this question is a staggering ABSOLUTELY. Modern Christianity believes we are to only observe the “Law of Christ Jesus” and they believe mostly that all this law can be found in the Brit Chadasha(New Testament). What if they are wrong? What if “Christ Jesus” or known in His original Hebrew tongue Yehsua HaMaschiach was the giver of the Mosaic Law? Would the Christians then repent and relook at their theology? I would hope and pray so.
Now, let us just get right out and make a bold claim, then I will back that bold claim up with so much evidence that I for one believe it is irrefutable if you weigh the evidence on just scales. My statement is this………….Jesus/Yeshua is the giver of the Mosaic Law/Torah. The Father is the origin from which it came, but the being that delivered it to Moses and the being that entered a Covenant with Ancient Israel at Mt. Sanai was not the Father, but the Son, the Messiah, Yehsua/Jesus. Now we will go deep into the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation to see if this is so.
Jas 4:12 There is ONE LAWGIVER, who is ABLE TO SAVE AND DESTROY: who art thou that judgest another?
With this statement we see that all Authority to save as well as destroy has been bestowed only on one being. Now we must see who this being is, was, and always will be. Let us look at some other Brit Chadasha(New Testament) verses to see if we can identify who this one lawgiver who is able to save and destroy is.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and said to them, “ALL AUTHORITY in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to OBSERVE ALL that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
We already see some evidence that my findings may be correct. ALL, again, ALL AUTHORITY has been given to Jesus/Yeshua. Is he the only one who can save?
John 10:7 So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.12 He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.13 He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.16 And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.17This is why my Father loves me, because I lay down my life, so that I may take it up again.18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”
Act 16:30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Rom 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Joh 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
So, we see here that Yeshua made a very bold claim. He says he is the ONLY person who has the ability to save. Now the question remains, who will be the only one to destroy the enemies of God?
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Now all Christians will say this conquering King of Kings and Lord of Lords is in fact Yeshua/Jesus. I have a question now for my Christian Brothers and Sisters. We see that someone called “The Lord” is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, is this Yehsua/Jesus? Is the being called “The LORD” the same being in the Brit Cahdasha(New Testament) as the one called “The LORD” in the Tanak(Old Testament)? If you say no to this question, we have an issue, for it is written,
Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
This verse is called the Shema, and is the Pillar of Faith in Judaism. According to this verse, there is only ONE LORD and ONE GOD, so if you say that “The LORD” mentioned in the Old Testament is different than “The LORD” mentioned in the New Testament, you are already saying that there are more than one, making your Faith a Polytheistic Faith. Now, another issue comes from this understanding. As I said earlier most Christians say that Yeshua/Jesus is the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS. This is where the lawlessness and misunderstanding stems from. The “LORD” of the Old Testament cannot be different than “The LORD” of the New testament. Any Jew will argue this point, so my question is this…………How will you convince Him that Yehsua/Jesus is this being? To say that the Jews are just ignorant and blind because they refuse to accept a different “LORD” than the New Testament testifies of is well, a bit harsh and very contradictory. In the Torah/Law given to Moses, the Nation of Israel was told over and over again to never call any other being LORD, God, Master, or anything else, so by saying “The LORD” of the Old Testament is a different one than “The LORD” of the New Testament you have already kept the obedient Jew from accepting their promised Messiah. YOU, not the ignorance of the Jews, but YOU and your delivery of the Gospel is what blinds them, not their ignorance or lack of Faith. Jews have selflessly died many many times in History to serve their God, so to say they all simply lack Faith is ignorant in and of itself and quite arrogant in my opinion.
So, how do we reconcile this? Can we do it without trying to get into a whole “Trinity” debate? Yes, we sure can, very easily in fact. All it takes is looking into the whole of scripture to understand that the same “LORD” of the Old Testament is the same “LORD” of the New Testament, and they do NOT contradict, and they do NOT have different doctrines or standards. How is this so? Well, let us look and see. John tells us plainly a few things that must not be overlooked.
Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
So no man has ever seen the Father at any time, but the only begotten Son has declared Him to the World. Do we have any other scriptures to witness this bold statement? Absolutely.
Joh 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
Yehsua Jesus says no man has ever heard His voice nor seen His shape at any time. What does this mean then? Who was that being that Moses received the commandments from? Who was that God that Jacob wrestled with?
Gen 32:29 Then Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “Why is it that you ask my name?” And there he blessed him.30 So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered.”
So we see here again that John and Yeshua say that no man has seen God(Father) at any time, but we see that Jacob says he saw God face to face and yet lived. Another contradiction that any Jew will notice. How do we explain this to anyone? Who was that being Moses received the commandments from?
Exo 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Who else said this? Is there anyone else who claims that he shall be known as “I AM”? Yes there sure is.
Joh 8:54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’55 But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word.56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.”57 So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”59 So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
Yeshua/Jesus says he is the “I AM” that spoke with Abraham, and that he comes from before Abraham. The Jews wanted to stone Him for this bold statement. Let us think about this for a minute, would the Jews want to stone a man simply for making a statement that he is older than Abraham? Or maybe they knew well that he was referring Himself to the “I AM” that Moses encountered at the top of Sanai. This is a Truth many overlook because they simply have never associated these two scriptures with one another. These are the only two scriptures that use this phrase as describing a name of persona of the Creator of Heaven and Earth, which brings me to my next statement. Who is the Creator of Heaven and Earth?
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.16 For by him ALL THINGS WERE CREATED, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities–all things were created through him and for him.17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
Who does the Tanak(Old Testament) say the Creator of Heaven and Earth are?
Isa 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;31 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
In your English translations, that captital “LORD” is originally scribed in the Hebrew texts as YHVH, the Creator. I hope by now we are understanding something here. Let us look at some more Tanak verses.
Isa 43:15 I am the LORD(YHVH), your Holy One, the CREATOR of Israel, your KING.”16 Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters,17 who brings forth chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick:18 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.20 The wild beasts will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people,21 the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.22 “Yet you did not call upon me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of me, O Israel!23 You have not brought me your sheep for burnt offerings, or honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, or wearied you with frankincense.24 You have not bought me sweet cane with money, or satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins; you have wearied me with your iniquities.25 “I, I AM he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.
Who is it that blots out the transgressions, Created Heaven and Earth, and is called THE LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS? Is it not the Messiah, the Living Word of the Father, who was taken from the bosom of the Father as Eve was taken from the Bosom of Adam? Let us look at a favorite amongst the Churches.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD.2 He was in the beginning with God.3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
This says the same thing I have been showing you, so many witnesses it is getting hard to refute now. We have already seen that Yehsua/Jesus was the Creator of Heaven and Earth, that he is the only one who can save and destroy, that he is the KING OF KINGS and the LORD OF LORDS, that he is the Word and the WORD IS GOD. We see that the same “LORD” and Creator of the Old Testament is the same of the New Testament, and that he was the same “I AM” that gave Moses the Torah/Law. We see that he is the same God that Jacob saw face to face. We have seen that no man has seen the Father, nor heard His voice at any time. We see that the only begotten Son has declared the Father from the beginning, and now we have also seen that the “LORD” or YHVH in the Tanak(Old Testament) is Yehsua/Jesus, they are one and the very same being. So what does this mean? How does this effect what we hear from the Churches? How does this affect the theology of the masses? As stated and widely understood, all Christians will openly admit that we in the New Covenant are to follow the “Law of Jesus Christ”. Now that we know that Yeshua/Jesus’s Law is the very same Law given to Moses, by Yeshua/Jesus himself, will the Churches still say that we have to follow the “Laws of Jesus Christ”? Let us consider something about exactly what Yeshua/Jesus taught.
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
This puts things in a whole new LIGHT doesn’t it. Did Yeshua teach any doctrines that were contrary to Moses, the very same Law/Torah he Himself gave Moses?
John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
Yeshua says the Father gave Him the Torah/Law/Doctrine to speak and that he brings nothing in His own name. The Father speaks the Word and the Word/YHVH/Yeshua/Jesus/Creator/King of Kings/Lord of Lords/the “I AM” simply carries and delivers His commands. Now that we know that Yeshua/Jesus/YHVH/The Creator of Heaven and Earth/King of Kings/Lord of Lords/ the “I AM” gave Moses the Law/Torah, and he is from the beginning, does he change His mind?
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD/YHVH/Yeshua/Jesus/King of Kings/Lord of Lords/Creator of Heaven and Earth/the “I AM”, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ/Yeshua/Creator of Heaven and Earth/Lord of Lords/King of Kings/the “I AM”, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.9 BE NOT CARRIED AWAY BY DIVERSE AND STRANGE DOCTRINES. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Are we starting to get the picture yet? Now that we have pretty much seen that there is a ton of evidence in the scriptures to verify my claims, let us see why this HAS TO BE TRUE if Yeshua is the Redeemer, the promised Messiah. If Yeshua is not the same being,YHVH, who entered covenant with the Israelites at Mt. Sanai, then we have a HUGE problem. Many professing Christians will agree that Yeshua/Jesus had to die for our sins, and that he died in order for us to be saved, but is there more? Is there a mystery that has been long overlooked by the religious systems and virtually not known of in the Semnary schools that produce 90% of today’s Pastors? You bet there is, and I like to call this one the greatest love story NEVER told. When the 12 Tribes of Israel were led into the Promised Land united under the Covenant that Yehsua/YHVH/Jesus entered with them at Sanai, something happened. There was a civil war between the Northern Kingdom known throughout scripture as the House of Israel/Samaria/Ephraim and the House of Judah, known as today’s Jews. This civil war led into a division of the Kingdom. This war was fought over the location of Worship, and the Appointed Times of Worship. The House of Israel, consisting of 10 Tribes and a portion of Levites, went to War against the House of Judah, consisting of the Tribes of Judah and Benjamine, with a portion of Levites. The result of this war was outright rebellion against YHVH by the Northern Kingdom, the House of Israel.
This rebellion resulted in their divorce from the Covenant. The House of Judah also sinned against YHVH/Yeshua/Jesus, but repented, and were shown mercy, while the House of Israel refused to repent.
Jer 3:6 The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.11 And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.20 Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.21 A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God.22 Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.23 Truly in vain is salvation(Hebrew word is Yeshua) hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation(Yeshua) of Israel.24 For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.25 We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.
There lies a problem in the fact that Israel was divorced and given a certificate. In the Torah/Law of YHVH/Yeshua/Jesus, there is a command concerning what happens when a woman commits adultery and is given a bill of divorce. If she remarries to another man, the Husband of the Covenant cannot remarry her ever again.
Deu 24:1 “When a man takes a wife and marries her, if then she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, and she departs out of his house,2 and if she goes and becomes another man’s wife,3 and the latter man hates her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter man dies, who took her to be his wife,4 then her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after she has been defiled, for that is an abomination before the LORD. And you shall not bring sin upon the land that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance.
This is a problem, because Yeshua cannot sin, which by definition is transgression of the Torah/Law(1 John 3:4). This was an issue that stumped the greatest and wisest Sages of the Ancient House of Judah. They could not figure out how YHVH/Yeshua/Jesus could fulfill the promises of redeeming the divorced House of Israel back into the Covenant. The question is, did the House of Israel marry into another covenant with strange gods?
Isa 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim(Leader of the House of Israel), whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! 2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.15 Because ye have said, WEHAVE MADE A COVENANT WITH DEATH, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
So we see here that the House of Israel did in fact make a covenant with another, one called death. They made an agreement with Hell. So according to the Torah/Law YHVH, the Husband of the Sanai Covenant could not remarry her, but there is many promises of redemption for the House of Israel. How was this to happen?
Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.18 And your COVENANT WITH DEATH SHALL BE ANNULLED, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
How will the adulteress covenant with death be annulled? Who is this tried foundation stone? Let us see what Paul says in the issue. He tells us what had to happen to annul the penalty of adultery and make a way to redeem the House of Israel.
Rom 7:1 Or do you not know, brothers–for I AM SPEAKING TO THOSE THAT KNOW THE LAW–that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives?2 For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is RELEASED FROM THE LAW OF MARRIAGE.3 Accordingly, she will be called an ADULTERESS if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from THAT LAW, and if she marries another man she is not an ADULTERESS.4 Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.
Yeshua/Jesus/YHVH HAD to die to redeem the divorced House of Israel. If he was not the Husband of the Sanai Covenant, then we still have a problem and are not yet redeemed. ONLY if the Husband dies can the woman be released from the laws of adultery once she is given a bill of divorce and marries another. This is the most beautiful love story NEVER told. We, the House of Israel, commited adultery against our Creator and Husband, and in order that he may remarry His beloved, he came and died for her so that she may be redeemed in order to remarry Him once he rose from the dead. This is such a beautiful story I cry every time I speak about it. Let us read a scripture and ponder in this Glorious moment.
Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
So we pray to the Father, so is the Father also our Husband?
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I WAS A HUSBAND unto them, saith the LORD:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW WITHIN THEIR INWARD PARTS, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Can a Father marry His daughter? Would that not be incest? So you see we have covered here that YHVH is Yeshua. The same being that gave the Covenant at Sanai in which our forefathers broke, causing divorce. He came and died in order to take away our sins and remarry Him when he was raised from the dead. Our forefathers were divorced for their breaking of the Sabbaths, Pagan observances, and following the imaginations of their evil hearts instead of being obedient to the Covenant established. We know that Yeshua/YHVH/Jesus/Creator of Heaven and Earth/King of Kings/Lord of Lords/the “I AM”, and our Husband does not change, and he is a very jealous Husband. We have completely sinned against him and we must repent and return to the ETERNAL Covenant established and obey His Torah/Law/Instructions, or we are in danger of being cut off and divorced again. Revelation 2 and 3 speak of this danger of having our lampstands removed if we do not repent of our abominations. ALL, again, ALL these Churches are believers in the Messiah, yet only two of them are found worthy; the other five are in danger of having their lampstands removed. I plead with the Christians in the World to repent and return to the Torah/Law of YHVH/Yeshua/Jesus and prepare themselves as a spotless Bride so we may all be found worthy to be married to our Bridegroom.
This is just scratching the surface of the many witnesses we have in scripture to show us that Yeshua/Jesus and YHVH are one and the same being. In the second part to this article, we will address some very large stumbling blocks for our Jewish Brothers so we may better serve them in their search for their Messiah, as they need Him as well. We will also site many ancient Rabbinical sources to show that this was understood by many of the ancient Sages in the House of Judah. They were not divorced, but when YHVH/Yeshua/Jesus died on the cross, the Old Covenant was nullified in His death, and they were widowed. In order to enter the New Covenant, they too must remarry the one who was raised from the Dead. I pray that this teaching has been a blessing, and I pray that no one refuse the call to repent, lest we be found naked and ashamed on the Great Day when our Bridegroom comes for us.
Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu, melekh ha’olam asher barcha banu mikkol ha’amim venatan lanu et torato. Barukh atah Adonai notein ha’torah.
Blessed are You, YHVH our God, king of the universe, who chose us from all the peoples and gave to us His Torah. Blessed are You, YHVH, giver of the Torah, Amein Amein!
This is a video my dear Brother Steven Gardner made that kind of solitifies this teaching. This is a very well put together teaching I think everyone should test concerning the Diety of Yeshua.
